Whether you are a current or prospective student, an alumnus, parent, faculty, staff or a good friend of Colorado State University we thank you for visiting the Black/African American Cultural Center's website!

The Black/African American Cultural Center is one of the seven Student Diversity Programs & Services offices that provide academic, cultural, personal and social support.

BSS LogoThe Black/African American Cultural Center assists African American students with their transitions to Colorado State University and throughout their academic careers by providing support and encouragement for their academic, professional, cultural, and personal development. We strive to provide a family-like support system made up of faculty, staff and student organizations that help students succeed.

The Office has as one of its foremost goals to enhance students’ knowledge of the culture, history, heritage and traditions that are unique to the African American experience.

Spring 2010 Graduation There are several student organizations here at Colorado State University available to African American students which offer volunteer, leadership, academic, social support and networking opportunities.  These include Africans United (AU), Black Definition, Black Student Alliance (BSA), National Society of Black Engineers and Scientists (NSBE), United Men of Color (UMC), United Women of Color (UWC), and Voices of Unity Gospel Choir.  Read more...

We are located in room 204 of the Lory Student Center.  Our academic year office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm and during the summer we are open from 7:30 am-4:30 pm.
